Google sells out, names next version of Android ‘KitKat’

In a story that would be funnier on April 1, Google has announced that the next version of Android will be called 'KitKat,' taking its name from Nestle's chocolate-covered cracker treat. Android 4.4 KitKat will be co-promoted with Nestle.

Braven 850 review

The Braven 600 stands as one of our all-time favorite portable Bluetooth speakers. Its sound quality is pristine and powerful, and its build quality is second to none. It’s such a great product, that we couldn’t help but want more of it. In fact, since we reviewed it, we’ve secretly held hope that Braven would come out with a super-sized version. You can imagine, then, that we got a little excited when Braven announced its 850 speaker.

Olympus Tough TG-2 iHS review

The Olympus Stylus TG-2 iHS ($380) is the latest flagship in Olympus’ rugged series of cameras, taking over from the TG-1 (in fact, the two cameras are similar in looks, with noticeable difference in body color). Packed into this point-and-shoot are a lot of nice features and performance, but does it live up to its “tough” billing and top the high bar its predecessor set?

Acer Aspire Z3-605 review

The high prices of many premium all-in-one PCs makes it easy to forget the category’s greatest advantage is simplicity, a trait any buyer can appreciate at any price point. Small, basic all-in-ones can be a good choice for many consumers, but the competition among mid-range AiOs is fierce, making it hard for consumers to sort out the best from the rest.

Samsung ATIV Book 7 review

Some say first impressions matter, but Samsung apparently doesn’t agree. The company’s Ativ Book 7 looks and feels outdated, particularly when compared to the very best Ultrabooks. Only the system’s huge battery and excellent display keep it relevant.

PSB M4U 2 review

Canadian speaker manufacturer PSB’s premium noise-cancelling headphones do just about everything right. The M4U 2’s price is up there with Bose’s offerings, but their sound quality is miles ahead.

If you’re not an audio hound, you may not have heard of PSB Speakers. The Canadian-based company isn’t exactly a household name in the US like Blackberry is, but then again, look how that turned out.
